Exporting data

I am logged into https://my.1password.com on my windows 10 PC
I have followed the instructions at https://support.1password.com/export/ to export logins from my personal vault but there is a problem.
First clicking on an item and then doing ctrl+A selects everthing on the page not just the logins
Secondly if I just select one item and right click on it there is no Export option on the dropdown menu
So what am I doing wrong?

    Hi @Bagsy,

    Sorry for the confusion!

In order to export your data out of 1Password, you will need to install 1Password app (it is not possible to do that via web interface). Here is how you can do that:

    Get the 1Password apps

Could you please give it a try? But please be extra careful with your exported data, as the exported data files are not encrypted. Moreover, please note that the exported .CSV file (the one you get from 1Password 7 for Windows) might not be as clear as expected. We are aware of this issue and have plans to fix it in one of the future updates.

If you have any other questions, please let me know. Thanks!

Silly me. I thought that because imports where done via the web interface, exports would be done there also.
    Works ok now.
    Interesting format

  • Exports are designed to be computer-readable rather than human-readable, so they aren't the friendliest of things for sure. Depending on your use-case for the export, one format may be more advantageous than the other or there might be a better option than exporting. Of course, if it works well, then it works but if you have a particular goal in mind and aren't quite getting there, we're here to help. :chuffed:
