Unable to open second Dropbox vault 1Password 7 on Mojave

I have a fresh installation of Mojave with 1Password 7 and Dropbox installed. I was able to open my primary vault (opvault) which is in Dropbox.

I was led to believe that to open an addition vault (opvault) I simply double click on the vault and it will be opened in 1Password. However, when I do so it brings 1Password into focus but only delivers a "bong" and the vault is not opened.

You can see (and hear) what happened when I tried here: https://bit.ly/2WFCcGW

  • Hi @jrevitch ,

Secondary vaults can be set up that way if they aren't someone else's Primary vault. But there is another way.

    1. Try creating a second vault in 1Password first under "New Vault…" in the File menu.
    2. Give the vault a name and password (if it is not the same as your Master Password, make sure you save it).
    3. Go to the Preferences, and click on Sync. There you can set the new vault to sync with Dropbox, and navigate to that opvault file in Dropbox. It should sync after that.

    Cheers,
    Kevin
