I have a desktop computer running Windows, but I also use a Chromebook (Chrome OS) at home, and I access my Google account from other computers to access e-mail, contacts, Google Drive files, etc. Will 1password work for me?

  • Hi @ddonham

Our 1Password X extension for Chrome is available for both Windows and ChromeOS:

    1Password X

It sounds like that would be a great fit for you and provide a consistent experience across all of your computers. :+1:

Can I use 1password x when I am operating at another computer (e.g. my library) using my Google account?

We really couldn't suggest accessing any personal/private data (especially your Google account, which is likely tied to your email) from a public computer. There is no telling what malware might be lurking, logging your keystrokes, recording you screen, etc. I would especially not recommend installing 1Password on a public computer.

It is best to use your own devices that you trust whenever possible, and when using a public computer to avoid entering any passwords.
