Shift-Key gets stuck when typing a password in a "Password" item

When you manually type a password in the password field of a "Password" type item, holding the shift key and then releasing it, the next character you type is also in upper case.
Reproduction:

  • create a new item from type "Password" or edit an existing item of the same type
  • hold the shift-key and start typing your new password
  • release the shift key. The key is "stuck", i.e. still pressed
  • type another character which also comes out as upper case letter, although a lower case character was expected
  • the shift-key then is then back to normal and following characters typed are lower case

    Hi @Manaburner,

I tested this and I could reproduce the same issue here. I will open an internal issue to confirm whether this is indeed a bug or if it is working as intended.

    Thank you for the report!

The shift key gets stuck in many apps for me, so I don't think this is 1Password specific.

Thanks for confirming! We don't have control over the keyboard, but at the same time it never hurts to check if something we're doing could be indirectly contributing to this. :)
