With autofill enabled, iOS tries to suggest passwords within the 1Password app

With autofill enabled, when I try to edit a password, or enter a new password, iOS has started trying to enter its own suggested passwords. The following sequence of actions will lead to (sort of) disaster:

Starting with an account that already has a password:
1. Select "Reveal Password".
2. Hit "Edit".
3. Tap on the password field (black blobs). A prompt appears saying "iPhone has created a strong password for this app", with two buttons "Use Strong Password" and "Choose My Own Password".
4. Two possibilities:
a. Select "Use Strong Password". Nothing happens.
b. Select "Choose My Own Password". The existing password disappears.
5. Once the previous password has been erased after selecting "Choose My Own Password", the only way to get it back is to look at the list of previously used passwords and copy it from there. A user who didn't know you could do that would be pretty much SOL.

I'm not sure whether this is an iOS bug or a 1Password bug, but it's certainly not good, whatever it is.

@randy_g - if you've already set up AutoFill for 1Password on your iOS device, then it sounds as if you might have forgotten to turn OFF iCloud Keychain in AutoFill:

    • On the Home screen, tap Settings.
    • Tap Passwords & Accounts > AutoFill Passwords.
    • Turn on AutoFill Passwords.
    • DE-select iCloud Keychain.

Let us know how that works for you.
