reinstalling after failed update
Hello,
1Password invited me to update the app. It said there had been 2 updates since the last time I updated. I attempted to do the updates, but they failed. I tried again. Still it failed. (Verification failure). Then I could not open the app at all; my computer said it might be corrupted. So I deleted the app, and redownloaded the app. It only required my master password to open. Nothing else. I think I had to have other things in the past to add 1 Password to a new device. I think I scanned something before; maybe the key or something. Why didn't I have to do that this time? Have I missed a step? Is it still secure? Thank you.
1Password Version: 7.3.1
Extension Version: ?none
OS Version: Mac OS 12.12.1
Sync Type: 1Password

Hi @Bronwen224466!
Why didn't I have to do that this time?
I think that's because deleting and installing the app again does not delete your actual 1Password data. 1Password is built in a way that if there is something wrong with the app, your data is still safe. So when you reinstalled 1Password, you fixed the update issue, without actually deleting your data :)
