GPU usage

Options

I just noticed that when 1PW is open but locked, it uses 10% GPU. This is enough to start the fan on my notebook spinning.

The moment I unlock it by entering the password, it drops to 0.1%.

Not sure how long this has been going on, but I noticed it after upgrading to 7.3.705.

  • My understanding is that this is related to transparency on the lock screen, @markwoon and is something we're aware of and looking into. My recommendation would be just to close 1Password when it's locked and you're not planning to unlock any time soon. With the somewhat recent addition of the Ctrl + Shift + \ shortcut to bring up the main app, it's a lot easier to avoid having that lock screen up for any substantial amount of time and should allow your GPU to minimize the stress it has to go through until we get this improved. :+1:
