Performance - 1Password 6 was pretty much instant, 7 seems like it can take a second or two to popup

For a variety of reasons, I recently moved from 1Password 6 to 7. One thing I noticed in 7 is that it can take a second or even two for the 1Password Mini window to even popup after I click on it. Its just noticeably slower than 6 was. Sure the UI is nicer, but its quite annoying to click on the menu bar icon or Safari button and not know if the click registered unless I just sit there and wait.

I have only about 1100 passwords in 4 vaults, but it happened even in 1 vault.

Any ideas?
