Problem with login

Have the following problem on the iPhone: although I have set in Settings to open 1Password Touch ID, it happens again and again that I can not log in with it, because the input of the master password is required!

Can someone please help me, so that I can end this annoying circumstance?

Thanks for the answer!

  • Hi @Johann_Gruber

Touch ID is not a replacement for the Master Password. The Master Password will still be required in a number of circumstances. That said, if you're seeing this more than expected, there may be some adjustments to be made. Please check the following:

    1. After restarting your device or installing an update you'll need to launch the 1Password app and enter the Master Password before it will be possible to unlock autofill with Touch ID
    2. In 1Password > Settings > Advanced > Security make sure the require Master Password setting is set appropriately. Note: "never" as a setting does not mean ever, it just turns off 1Password's internal timeout. There are still other events / functions that will require the Master Password.

Please let me know how it turns out.
