cannot install extension on safari. When I click on extension all it does is spin and spin

Have not used MacBook Air for a couple of months. Went into it today and extension was gone. Went to safari extensions to get and clicked on it and all it does is spin and spin and does not download. Am running current version.

    We have a very helpful article that can help you if the 1Password extension isn’t working in your browser.. As a first step please follow the article. Sometimes the issue can be solved with simple solutions like restarting the computer.
