The CSV export should escape a double quote with another double quote, not a backslash (RFC 4180)

The current CSV export is broken, a double quote (") within a field (which is delimited by double quotes) is escaped by a backslash.
It should be escaped by another double quote.
Also a backslash itself is not escaped at all, this means a backslash as the last character of a field escapes the trailing field delimiter (double quote).

I reported this back in May.

I don't know why this hasn't been resolved, and it kind of irks me, as this is the type of thing that other less-than-trustworthy password manager companies do to make it difficult to leave the platform. It's bad, because it corrupts your exported data.

It also prevented my from writing a Windows CSV export converter (which for the past 2 years is the only format provided).

Sorry about that. I think it's because Kevin has been busy. I'll check in with him about this. Thanks for the nudge!
