Can't install 1P7 because 1P6 mini can't be quitted

The 1P7 installer apparently needs 1P6 and its extension (mini) to be quitted. 1P6 quits okay but mini refuses to quit even though, ironically, it has not worked since the Safari upgrade to v13. And because the extension doesn't boot in the first place, I can't quit it myself, while the installer seems to think the extension is still running! Please note I have also expressed my woes to Rob Hanslip via email because I was already in a discussion with him (about pricing).

    @PhilipD Try fully quitting V6 with Command-Option-Control-q.

    Yes, that works, but more than one month later (on October 28) I had the same problem. How about a bug fix?
