Fixing anything in the Watchtower kicks me back into the main Logins category

I've been trying to clean up everything in the Watchtower, but any time I save a login I fixed I'm taken into the main Logins category, losing my train of thought.

For example I have a lot of old unsecured websites, but the only thing I need to do is to replace 'http' with 'https'. (it would be so cool to have this done on a right click menu btw!)

Because the app takes me into Logins I have to go back to Unsecured Websites over and over again. I still have 130+ sites to go, and all of them use https these days, so it's just a matter of changing the URL, but the app seems to want to get in the way.

I understand that after fixing an item it is removed from the offending list, but then the next possible item could be selected instead, thereby not breaking the flow.

Edit: so I'm taken into Logins, and not even the fixed item is selected, but the very first item in the list (which happens to be this forum, as I just registered here to post this.) Anyway, staying in the list where I was would be best still.

Thanks for looking into this,
Attila

  • Hi @attilam,

    Thanks for reporting this.

This is a known bug that we will fix in a future update, it is supposed to select the next item in the "updated item list" without switching categories. In other words, if you edit a Login item while in anything that's not Logins (Watchtower, Trash, etc), 1Password will switch you to the Logins category first before updating the item list.

For example I have a lot of old unsecured websites, but the only thing I need to do is to replace 'http' with 'https'. (it would be so cool to have this done on a right click menu btw!)

We actually have this feature in the macOS version of 1Password, we will bring this to the Windows app as well. The way it will work is that there'll be a button in the Watchtower banner of your item and you can click it to convert it to https.

I was about to report this as well, that was super annoying during my recent spring cleaning.
