Hi @TomPagel, ist bei Dir Safari im Dock minimiert und du startest aus dem 1Password Mini das Autofilll Login?

@TomPagel: Can you tell me the OS, 1Password, browser, and extension versions you're using, and the exact steps you're taking? I'll be happy to help. :)

Hi @brenty, @TomPagel and I have the same problem.
If the Safari browser is minimized in the Dock and you want to access a web page using the 1Password Mini, the Safari browser will not open.
This happens when you select "current tab" or "new tab" in the 1Password settings.

If you select "new window" the autofill and the opening of the website will work fine.

    macOS Catalina 10.15.1
    1Password 7.4 Beta-0

    Hey @appleianer ,
If Safari is minimized in the dock and you try to open and fill or double click a login in Mini, it will actually open the tab but Safari will remain minimized. 1Password will not bring up the browser from the dock, but if you click on Safari and bring it up from the dock, you will see that a tab with your website has opened when you clicked on it in 1Password.

Can you please try this and let us know how it goes:
    1. Open Safari and keep one tab opened.
    2. Minimize it to the dock.
    3. Open Mini and double click a website to launch it in Safari.
    4. Open Safari from the dock and see if a new tab shows up in Safari of the website you clicked in Mini.

@TomPagel Does open and fill not work on specific website, or does this happen to you on all websites? Are you able to autofill if you are already on the website?

Hi @Yaron, it is correct that in the minimized Safari Browser (Dock) the desired web page is called and also the Autofill Login takes place.
Is that what you want now? In the past, it didn't matter whether Safari was open or minimized in the Dock.

    Hey @appleianer ,
We're going for a more non-intrusive approach in which we do not decide for the user what he should see and we do not force popups with newer versions of 1Password (like 1Password X). If the user decided to minimize Safari, then we will not overrule this decision.

If you don't like this behavior, perhaps you should try hiding Safari instead of minimizing it. You can hide any window/app on your Mac by pressing CMD+H. It will hide the app completely and you will be able to resume it by CMD-TAB or by clicking its icon in the Dock. Also, if you autofill when Safari is hidden, it will pop up back to the front because that's just how the operating system works and we have no say in that case :)
