Adding support for 'Two Factor Authentication Available' detection

Hi. We're a cloud software vendor and this is a question about supporting our users, rather than our own use of 1Password.

It's great to see 2FA support for logins stored in 1Password, with the message "You can save your two-factor authentication codes for this account in 1Password. Learn how to enable two-factor authentication." and the option to scan a QR code on the page to set up.

As a small software vendor, is there a way to get 1Password to recognise that 2FA is available on our domain? We're currently updating 2FA documentation and we'd love to recommend 1Password as an option to store codes if possible.

Regards
Oliver

  • Hi @oliverk

Thanks for your interested in making your site more compatible with 1Password.

"You can save your two-factor authentication codes for this account in 1Password. Learn how to enable two-factor authentication."

This message is generated based on information received from https://twofactorauth.org/. They have instructions on how to get sites added to their list available here:

I hope that helps. Should you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to ask.
