Allow Use of Inactive 2FA Feature When Using 2FA Outside of 1Password

I love the idea of having 1Password check if any account where I'm not using 2FA could have it enabled, but I can't use it because I don't want to use OTP within 1Password (mostly because I use security keys, both directly and through Yubico Authenticator, where it stores the OTP details on the key). It would be great if we could manually mark that an account has 2FA enabled to take advantage of this.

Bonus points if the feature were enhanced to show which types of 2FA each account supports (using a site like https://www.dongleauth.info to pull in data about security key support), and we are able to mark which type of 2FA we are using.

Thanks!

You can! Just add the tag 2fa yourself.

I additionally use 2fa/totp, 2fa/sms, 2fa/app, etc, to indicate the type of the second factor.

I think they get their data from:
    https://twofactorauth.org/
And it gives the same data as that site you posted.

  • I have a tag for phone numbers in my setup. So I know which is phone#_Primary, phone#_Secondary etc. So many ways to go with tags. All great suggestions.
