Now that I've converted to 1PW 7 membership, what files from v6 can be deleted from my Mac?

In cleaning up my Mac I noticed a variety of Application Support files from prior versions of 1PW. I understand that these are remnants from local and Dropbox vaults. Now that backups are on your server, I'd like to delete all the old files associated with prior versions of 1PW.

  • Hi @krgraham

We generally don't recommend deleting files associated with 1Password for the sake of it, but if you've got good backups... :) 1Password 6 used this folder, which is no longer used by 1Password 7:

    Mac App Store version

    ~/Library/Containers/2BUA8C4S2C.com.agilebits.onepassword-osx-helper/

    AgileBits Store version

    ~/Library/Application Support/1Password 4/

Additionally if you've upgraded to a membership and have your data stored there, then you can remove any 1Password related files from Dropbox:

    ~/Dropbox/Apps/1Password/1Password.opvault

    ~/Dropbox/Apps/1Password/1Password.agilekeychain

I hope that helps. Should you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to ask.

    Ben
