I created a new account and 1Password stored my email address instead of my userid.
I'm trying out 1Password and just encountered a problem. I created a new account on a website that does not allow email addresses for your userid. 1Password stored my email address, not my newly created userid in its vault. Then when I went to log back in to this account 1Password didn't update its record when I corrected what it filled in as my userid. Did I do something incorrectly? If not, this seems like an ease of use problem.

If I am following you correctly, if you backspaced over the entered text and typed the new text, 1Password would not know about the change. You would need to edit the entry or save it again manually. https://support.1password.com/save-login-manually/
