Safari browser extension not working after OS update

After updating Mojave, 1Password has been removed from Safari automatically.

I can't seem to install it again as the instructions don't work for me.

Clicking "Install Browser Extensions" from within 1Password doesn't install anything, it just goes to a website with no relevant links, as far as I can see.

Extension Version: n/a
OS Version: 10.14.6
Sync Type: iCloud

    ...aaand solved by restarting twice.
