Emergency Plan

I know that it is highly improbable that a 1Password Account gets hacked because of the comb. of MasterPW, SecKey and 2FA.

And because of it, all my data are on the 1PW account, Mail logins, bank accounts and so on.

But what if... someone gets into my 1PW Account and gains access to everything.
What is the first thing to do? What’s the emergency plan?
Try to contact the support, try to get the 1Pw account back, or change the PW for the most important things like bank and email?

Someone got an idea on a step by step emergency plan just in case?

Best regards from Germany 🇩🇪

  • Hi @Mephisto_Pheles

In a scenario like this the first thing I would recommend doing would be to change your Master Password and Secret Key, and then start changing the credentials for other important accounts, email probably being at the top of the list. That said, keeping your Master Password and Secret Key secret should be the priority, to avoid ever running into a scenario like this. :)

I hope that helps. Should you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to ask.

    Ben
