Multiple variants of 1Password each require entering the master password

I use 1Password desktop, plus the browser extensions for Chrome and Edge Chromium. That means that sometimes I have to enter my master password three times. Is there a way to have multiple variants of 1Password on the same computer speak to each other so that a single master password entry is sufficient?

There is, yes. We offer two different browser extensions:

1Password X, which does not communicate with the desktop app
1Password extension (desktop app required), which does

If you uninstall the former and install the latter they should all lock and unlock together: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/1password-beta-desktop-ap/phicbbndgmmpogmijjkbmdhpioaieaha

**thank you **for this @Ben - I was slowly going mad having to re-enter my master password every time I closed and re-opened Edge. Couldn't crack the code on why this was happening.
