New Password
When I need to generate a lot of passwords, it's annoying to have to go to file -> new item -> password every time, why can't we have a button at the top next to all the other ones (+login +wallet +software etc)?
Secondly is there a way to generate a secure password from a command line? I have a need to generate a few dozen of them at a time ...

We always recommend creating Login items via the browser extension, and the password generator is available directly in the browser extension.
Even if you want to create them in the main 1Password application, though, there is a "Generate" button right in the item as you are creating it.
There is not any integration with the command line at this time, but I'll pass your request for this new feature along to the developers as well.
