Is there any way to import a KeePassX database file into 1Password? In your faq it states that there should be a import wizard. But in 1P4 file > import just opens the file browser.

Can you please implement global auto-type like KeePassX (open source) has. I don't want to install any browser helper extensions and they won't help me to fill passwords in the terminal or any other native app anyway.

Without global auto-type 1Password is pretty much useless since Apple brought back iCloud Keychain sync.

  • Hi @Uno_Lavoz,

Which FAQs did you look at? The first 1Password 4.0 release doesn't have any import support except for 1Password Interchange Format.

We're working on an update to bring in full import/export support in a future update.

As for auto-type, according to their FAQs here, it is only supported on Linux. There's usually a reason for that. At the moment, it is not yet possible for us to support auto-type because of a security concern and also a sandboxing limitation for providing this. For now, you can use 1Password mini to quickly copy the data to paste into the apps.
