"Notifications" not working properly on forum?

Has anyone else noticed that forum notifications (i.e., of updates to threads to which you've posted, or references in posts to your user name) seem not any longer to be working?

    Can you confirm that you have bookmarked the thread(s) by clicking the star above the "POST A REPLY" button in the top right corner of the thread?

    @khad, sorry I didn't realise I now needed to bookmark any thread in respect of which I want a notification. Thanks for the explanation.
