Is my master password stored on my Mac if I use Touch ID?
If I set up my MacBook Pro to open 1P 7 (licensed version) with Touch ID does that mean my 1P master password will be stored somewhere in my MBP? If yes, where will it be stored?
My MBP is set up with FileVault encryption and it is set to require a new login password (typed or with Touch ID) in order to reopen after sleep, so I am not too concerned if my 1P master password is stored somewhere on my MBP. However, if it is stored on my MBP I would like to know where it is stored.
Thanks!

It all starts with a key pair being generated inside the Secure Enclave. The private key never leaves the Secure Enclave and the encryption of either your primary vault password or your b5 account details occurs inside the Secure Enclave. The encrypted data is then saved into your preferences file.
To unlock we take the encrypted data from the preferences file and ask the Secure Enclave to decrypt it.
