I thought I would bring this topic up for discussion as privacy is a common topic nowadays. In the section (Software) where password managers are listed, 1Password isn't mentioned. I am surprised! Not even a worthwhile mention.

Interesting. I don't believe I've seen that site before. Thanks for the heads up! :)

It seems to be open-source-focused, so I don't think 1Password will find a home there, but there's a lot of good stuff for sure. :)

I had an issue with Firefox for Windows which prevents the pasted passwords from appearing so I stopped using it, if not for that issue I would be using Firefox. 1Password Extension can copy passwords but not paste them into (or within) Firefox? Pasting is blocked, it seems.

There is also Firefox for Android which messes up 1Password, on Android?

Not anything I've ever heard of. Firefox and 1Password for Android are a good combination because the Android version of Firefox supports Google's Autofill, just like 1Password does. I've also not had trouble pasting into Firefox on Windows. Not sure what's going on there. Might be worth asking on a Mozilla discussion forum.

    @brenty,

I am on 1Password v7. I read if Firefox is in Private Browsing Mode, that is where the trouble is. I have set up Firefox for Private Browsing by default for Windows.

The above discussion is for 1Password X but it may be a more generalized issue? I should have been clear about Private Browsing but I did not think Private Browsing should have had an effect on 1Password usage. Incognito Mode on Chrome although off by default does not appear to affect 1Password usage

1Password X can't work in Firefox's private browsing mode because of some technical limitations. Only time will tell if that changes in the future. Chrome is very different.

    Hi

From what is on this discussion, if 1Password is going to be working in Firefox for Android, it will be a welcome change (Currently a prerelease version of Firefox):

    Thanks.

Indeed! Firefox Focus has supported Android Autofill for a long time already. It seemed strange that "regular" Firefox didn't as well...but better late than never! :)

Since the last time I checked, Mozilla AMO has added 1Password X for Desktop and even for 1Password X for Android. Terrific.

    Thank you.

I'm not sure what you mean by "1Password X for Android", but indeed 1Password X is live in Mozilla's "Firefox Add-ons" site. :)

You’re right. Re: 1Password X, it is now in the Mozilla Addon site but it was not in Android. It is still an extension not a full fledged app.

Firefox for Android never had the 1Password extension before only the PC and now 1Password X is accessible to both PC and Mobile!

1Password X will work on ChromeOS, but I'm not aware of it working on any mobile OSes, since browsers work very differently there. 🤔

Yeah. Got it! All things considered, it a a good change. We will have to wait and see when iPadOS is out as Apple has given more flexibility to their tablets. Firefox was a latecomer to the iOS App Store.
